Today was Lansdale, PA's Founders Day celebration. Part of the festivities were six round trip excursions from Lansdale to Souderton. They were run by the Pennsylvania Northeastern and the New Hope Ivyland railroads. This is a shot of one of the afternoon trains stopping at the station in Souderton. This may be the last time this scene will look like this, as the station complex is scheduled to be remodeled in the next year.
last night Daniel and I headed down to the Lansdale train station for a night photo session. This was an idea of Bill Henning of Henning's Trains as a way of kicking off the Lansdale Founder's Day celebration. We had a great time. Thanks to Bill and all of the other volunteers, especially the Lansdale Fire Company for the light tower truck.
My wife is walking ahead of me as we take a nice walk along Schultz Road in Salford Township. That's our neighbor's barn off to the right. They are the folks that sold us the land to build on.
