A nice early snow hit our area on Thanksgiving eve. This East Penn Railway crew stops at the crossing at North Hamilton Street and Main Street in Telford so that the crew could run over to the Towne Restaurant to grab lunch. Snow totals were expected to be around 4".
This is a small pond along the Indian Creek in Earlington, PA. It is one of the spots I get to drive by on the way home from work each day. This view is from the road of the same name, Indian Creek Road.
The sky looked like it was set up for a perfect mackerel sky, but a stubborn cloud had different ideas. Still, this sunrise along Cowpath Road in Telford isn't so bad either. I pass this farm every morning on the way to work.
Since I woke up early this morning, I thought I would go to a spot I drive by on the way to work. I waited almost an hour for the sun to peak up above the tree line along the back of this meadow. What a great spot.
Every year my wife sets up her hummingbird feeder right outside our bedroom window. This was my first attempt to try and catch one of them. The male (shown here) definitely was more curious than the female.
The morning mist was slowly lifting as I walked out the door for work. These spider webs seem to catch the rays of the sun as they wait for an unsuspecting insect to fly into them. God's hand in creation is evident in even the smallest of things.
Being a sucker for dramatic skies, I decided to take my camera with me on my 2 mile walk. The sky was ever changing from blue, to overcast, to somewhere in between. Of all the things I found to take shots of, our house and the out buildings caught my eye the most.
I was finally able to capture the two railroads that run to Telford, PA interchanging at the siding on Reading's old Bethlehem Branch. The blue unit is East Penn Railway, which runs from Telford up to Quakertown. The orange unit is Pennsylvania Northeastern, which runs from Lansdale to Telford. This was shot at the crossing at Washington Avenue.
I stopped by the Route 563 bridge overpass project tonight to see how things were going. They placed the remainder of the I-beams this past weekend over the northbound lanes. It's beginning to look like a bridge again. November still looks possible to me.
I could not help but head out tonight to grab some shots of this stalled front that was set up just south of us. I love this green barn, and the lit up clouds just parked themselves right above for a great backdrop. Enjoy!
There was a crazy sky tonight when I was coming home from a late appointment. It was remnants of a sunset with heavier clouds rushing through it. This is a perfect example of some of the neat skies we get to watch right out our back yard. The moon was a bonus. Taken at 8:32 pm.
Sometimes it's the simple things. I heard Daniel and Kim outside yesterday along with the sound of the ATV. I looked out to find Daniel giving mom a ride up the sand mound. They seem to be looking for something?
One of the farmers in our area still farms with an old Ford Jubilee tractor. These tractors will made in the mid 1950's, and many are still going strong. I found this one along Deitz Mill Road, in Telford, PA.
This telephoto shot was taken across the corner of Fretz and Deitz Mill Roads in Telford, Pa. It is a out building that stores hay and straw, along with farm equipment at a local farm that we used to hunt deer.
