The three of us decided to try out the mountain bike trails at Lake Nockamixon. These are 9+ miles of bike trails through the area near the Kimberton boat launch. A lot of time and effort went into these trails. It was a great time.
We finally have our own pizza joint in Tylersport. Laura's II opened it's doors the other week in the old Nanny's building on Route 563. Being just 2 miles or so from our house, it's nice to just run down the road to grab some good food!
Proverbs 18:24 - A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. We were able to have lunch today with two of the most wonderful couples in our lives. We are so thankful for godly friends, like these, who truly have stuck closer than a brother to Kim and myself.
The boys and I went riding at the Reading Anthracite property outside Minersville, PA today. This was shot from the top of the hill climbs. You can see part of the wooden cross behind Daniel. The coal pile in the far right is part of an active coal mining operation.
Kim and I got to take some of our youth group out to the Harvest Rally in Morgantown, PA today. Kim challenged me to a duel. Don't let the picture foll you, I didn't take the shot. (It was tempting though :)
One goal of mine this year is to spend time in God's Word each day. What better photo to start my journal with than a self portrait of my devotion time on first morning of the year. This would be my first self portrait ever. It is a reminder to set aside time for God to talk to me each day.
This is one of those times where I was trying something new. It was our turn to clean this church this week. I thought I would try a long exposure to see if I could capture action. After many attempts, this is what I came up with.
